Florida International Terminal (FIT) to receive new Ceiba Express service from CMA CGM

news-details

The shipping company CMA CGM has selected Florida International Terminal (FIT) in Port Everglades as the only U.S. port of call for its new CEIBA Express service. The weekly service will directly connect this country to Latin America and allow for the transfer of agricultural products and general cargo.

“Port Everglades unparalleled access to the interstate highway system and 43-acre intermodal container transfer facility near the Florida East Coast Railroad dock allows us to attract and assist global cargo services such as CEIBA Express," said Port Everglades CEO Jonathan Daniels.

FIT's CEO, Justin F. Weir, appreciated the choice of the terminal. "Our entire team is preparing to attend this new service, whose first call is scheduled for next January 14. This choice ratifies the commitment we have with our partner CMA CGM to continuously deliver efficient and safe work on all services."

The CEIBA Express will connect Honduras, Guatemala, Colombia, Venezuela and Jamaica, among other countries in the Americas.
